FC Barcelona surpassed the Liga ACB rookies Rio Breogan only after a tough fight 78-69, but the Lithuanian coach did not have many reproaches for his team.

"We started the game very seriously, with a lot of energy. We were not that bad but for every mistake of ours, they punished us like a EuroLeague team. Breogan are doing very serious work with organized ideas," said Jasikevicius.

He added: "Now we have three or four training sessions and the dance will start with 12 games in a month. Next week is very important for us because we have the last training sessions before the long marathon."

Sarunas Jasikevicius also praised Nikola Mirotic who finished the game with 22 points. The Barca head coach told that Mirotic is very focused, in good shape, and concentrated. According to him, Nikola does a lot of damage to opponents where it is needed.

Paco Olmos (Breogan specialist) was pleased that his squad had a serious fight with the champions.

"I am happy because we have fought until the last second. We have nine players who make their debut in the Liga ACB. Above all, we have rebounded well. In attack, we lacked a bit of rhythm in the first half," said Breogan coach at a press conference.

FC Barcelona start their Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season at home on October 1 against ALBA Berlin.
