Following Ante Zizic's injury, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv are looking for a center who will agree to a two-month temporary contract. According to Roi Cohen of Sport5, Alex Tyus has been offered to Israeli club and his candidacy is being considered.
Last season the 33-year-old spent with Real Madrid. In the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, he averaged 3 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 0.5 assists per 20 games.
In the Liga ACB, Tyus registered the averages of 5.6 points and 2.6 rebounds in 18 contests.
The 2.03-meter American big man represented Maccabi in 2013-15 and 2017-19 seasons.
With Tel Aviv's club, Alex Tyus won EuroLeague in 2014 and three times became the Israeli League champion (2014, 2018, 2019).
Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv start the EuroLeague season at home on September 30 against FC Bayern Munich.
