Former NBA champion Mario Chalmers will play in Puerto Rico / News - Basketnews.com

Two-time NBA champion Mario Chalmers, 35, will continue his professional career in Puerto Rico, as reported by Fer Martinez Larrosa.

Chalmers has agreed to a deal with Indios de Mayaguez, one of the biggest teams in Puerto Rico.

The former Miami Heat point guard has had multiple stints in Europe in the last few years.

His first European experience was with Virtus Bologna in the 2018-2019 season, while in the past two years, he played in Greece, first with AEK Athens and then with Aris Thessaloniki.

In the past season, he averaged 10.5 points and 2.2 assists per game in the Greek league while shooting 37% from three-point.

Chalmers also won an NCAA title with Kansas and the FIBA Basketball Champions League with Virtus Bologna during his career.
