Non-vaccinated players will be subject to a series of limitations and restrictions, according to NBA's health and safety protocols for the 2021-22 season.

Per The Athletic, the 65-page breakdown states that those who have not taken both shots will be unable to dine indoors in the same room as another player, two meters of distance in a team meeting, and distant locker locations.

Any non-vaccinated player must remain at their residence while in their home city or the team hotel if traveling aside from team activities, outdoor physical activities, or essential errands and emergencies.NBA players who are vaccinated will not have regular testing, while non-fully vaccinated players must have one negative test on a practice or travel day and two on a game day.

The only time vaccinated players and Tier 1 personnel will have to be tested is when they are symptomatic, had close contact with someone who tests positive for COVID-19, or a team medical staff member of the league requires it.

All players, regardless of vaccination status, must pass a PCR test before traveling to Toronto this season.

All players must also wear a mask during all indoor team activities aside from on-court work, showering, or actively eating or drinking, in accordance with CDC recommendations.

That requirement will be removed if all players on a team are fully vaccinated, and the team's facility and stadium are in a county where COVID-19 transmission is moderate or low.

Roughly 90% of the NBA's players are vaccinated, leaving a handful that is not, including Washington Wizards Bradley Beal, who said he wasn't during the team's media day on Monday.

Both the Brooklyn Nets and the Golden State Warriors are also dealing with potential absences during the regular season. Executive orders in New York City and San Francisco require anyone in a gym to have at least one COVID-19 vaccine shot and be fully vaccinated, respectively.Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving was not at the team's media day at Barclays Center on Monday due to the order in New York, which went into effect earlier this month.

During the Warriors' media day, Andrew Wiggins said his vaccination status was "private" ahead of that order going into effect next month before the start of the regular season.
