In Spain, fans will return from this weekend to the outdoor stadiums without capacity limitation.

The Interterritorial Council of the National Health System has decided that outdoor competitions can accommodate 100% of their capacity and, indoors, be limited to 80%. This new rule will be in force from 1 to 31 October.Until now, the limit in the stadiums was 60% outdoors and 40% indoors, something that affected the LaLiga in football (first and second division) and the ACB Liga Endesa in basketball. Now it is extended to any sports competition. The agreement was voted unanimously by the autonomous communities and the Ministry of Health, which has insisted on a note that non-pharmacological measures, such as the use of the mask, should be upheld.

It is not allowed to eat or drink, nor is it permitted to consume tobacco or related products in the venues. Furthermore, an interpersonal distance of 1.5 meters must be maintained, something a priori incompatible with the 100% capacity. The Spanish ministry has not clarified how this apparent inconsistency will be resolved.
