Ten years after his last appearance in the competition, the Lithuanian international looks forward to a thrilling season with the Roca Team. "Thursday is the club's first game in the EuroLeague. We know what to expect during this competition," Motiejunas said in an interview with the club's website. "We're going to face some big teams. Against Panathinaikos, we want to make the Monegasque people proud of this Roca Team. We are very excited before the home debut."

Referring to the keys of the game against Panathinaikos, Motiejunas said: "They are used to playing in the competition and to contesting European games at a high level. It is a club with many titles, very strong, and this match will represent a real fight for us."

"The EuroLeague is rough, competitive, solid, and very physical. The best teams are there, and it will not be easy. There will be many obstacles before us. But this is what drives us, this desire to cross them and go as far as possible," Motiejunas said.

Motiejunas is coming back to the EuroLeague after 10 years break. With a smile on his face, the Lithuanian forward admits that he barely remembers the days of the strongest European basketball competition.

"Time flies," Motiejunas laughed. "I barely remember. At that time, I was a young man with no experience. A small child ready to go to bed at 20:00."

"Ten years ago, my team did not manage to get past the group stage, but personally, I really liked the adventure. In today's system, there are more matches that allow young talents to develop and show what they are capable of," finished Motiejunas.
