— Howard Megdal (@howardmegdal) January 30, 2023After missing the 2021 season while recovering from a Lisfrancinjury, the 10-year veteran made her return in 2022 for theWashington Mystics, averaging 8.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.0 assistsand 0.9 steals.
She suffered the second worst three-point shooting season of hercareer (30.3% on 3.4 attempts), but there's reason to believe thatshe will bounce back in Vegas. Not only is she a career 38.4%shooter from deep, it's easy to envision her feasting on open looksdue to the talent surrounding her.
Clark remains a strong perimeter defender who's able to crediblydefend multiple positions. She's made two All-Defensive teams inher career (2019, 2020), though she's understandably slipped fromthat level post-injury.
This is a valuable add for the Aces, who didn't have much depthbehind All-Star wing Jackie Young last season. Riquna Williams ismore of a 2/3 hybrid than a 3/4 hybrid like Clark (or Young); theAces even experimented with three-big lineups as a counter to theirdepth issue last year. Provided Clark stays healthy, that issueshould no longer exist.
