Coach Ettore Messina introduced the game, explaining how controlling the rhythm will be a key against the Spanish team: "It's gonna be a difficult game because they'll have Wade Baldwin back, their starting point guard, and an excellent player", Messina explained during the press conference.
"Baskonia is a very athletic team and they play a high-tempo style, which is a typical thing for coach Ivanovic's teams. They'll also have strong support from their fans. We need to control the rhythm, not letting them score easy baskets in transition and securing the rebounds", Messina continued.
Shavon Shields, an ex of the game and one of the key players for Milan, focused on the importance of the mentality in this game: "The most important thing is to compete and stay focused for 40 minutes because they'll be focused for sure. We need to fight for every rebound and defend hard".
Milan will have all its players available aside from Troy Daniels, who's still recovering from a hamstring injury.
