Bennett posted 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 assist in his Basketball Champions League debut against Pinar Karsiyaka.
Former No.1 NBA Draft pick was one of Hapoel Jerusalem's star signings in the summer transfer period, along with two other former NBA players: Thon Maker and Sean Kilpatrick.
Bennett (28, 2.03) was a star at UNLV but his collegiate career was plagued by injuries. In the NBA, he also struggled with consistency and was never able to carve out a meaningful role.
His last NBA experience was with the Brooklyn Nets during the 2016-2017 season but he was waived by the team in January. The athlete averaged 5 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.
The Canadian forward has already played in the old continent with Fenerbahce in 2017 and won the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague title that year.
However, his role on the floor was very limited. In 10 EuroLeague games, he averaged only 1.2 points per game and left the team before the end of the season.
