Following theirWednesday's win against Zalgiris in Belgrade, the Red and Whites were unable to get three victories in a row. In spite of leading since the first quarter, Zvezda dropped the ball in the final five minutes.

Once again, Nate Wolters showed great performance for the Belgrade team, finishing the game with 16 points.

In his post-match statement, Dejan Radonjic spoke of what made the difference.

"CSKA were more aggressive in a tough match. During the final minutes, they were better in both the offensive and defensive aspects. They took full advantage of that," Radonjic said.

The Montenegrin expert then spoke of Zvezda's signature defence.

"We improved the defensive aspect after the first half. The players understood that they needed to be better; be physically stronger. They put their bodies on the line, and it showed."

Radonjic took the opportunity to praise both his team and the opponents.

"I congratulate CSKA for this win, but I'd also like to congratulate my players on all their dedication and good performance. On everything they did. I don't want to talk about any injuries in our roster. It's the healthy players that need to show their best," Radonjic concluded.

Zvezda now have a 2-2 record as they continue the week's packed schedule in the regional ABA league before hosting ALBA Berlin on the upcoming Friday.
