The Boston Celtics waived forward Jabari Parker, according to multiple reports on Sunday.

Parker, 26, reportedly had a $1.1 million guaranteed salary if he was on the roster on opening night and $2.3 million guaranteed if he stayed on the roster the entire regular season.

Parker signed with the Celtics as a free agent late last season and averaged 6.4 points and 3.6 rebounds in 10 games. He was with the Sacramento Kings earlier in the season and averaged 2.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in three games.

The former No. 2 overall pick by the Milwaukee Bucks in 2014 has bounced around to five teams over the past three seasons.

Parker was viewed as a star attraction when he entered the NBA. But the former Duke star twice tore the ACL in his left knee and never regained the form that saw him average 20.1 points and 6.2 rebounds in 51 games in 2016-17 before suffering the second major injury.

The Bucks parted ways with Parker after the 2017-18 season and he has since played with the Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards, Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento, and Boston.

Parker's first ACL tear came 25 games into his rookie season in December 2014.

Parker has career averages of 14.5 points and 5.6 rebounds in 298 games (190 starts). He shoots just 32.1 percent from the 3-point range.
