The health condition of selector Pesic is stable, but he has an acute sore throat that requires him to undergo hospital treatment as soon as possible,” Dr. Dragan Radovanovic is quoted in the statement.“That is why he will be admitted to the Clinical Center of Serbia today.”
The director of the Serbian national team, Dragan Tarlać, expressed his gratitude to all clubs and players who responded to the invitations to the training camp.
“On behalf of the national team and the entire Basketball Association of Serbia, I would like to thank all the players who, despite the tight competition schedule, responded to the invitation to the training camp.
Also, I would like to express my great gratitude to the management and coaches of the clubs from which the national team members come for the extraordinary cooperation and the expressed readiness to adjust their professional obligations to the needs of the national team,” Tarlac said.
Because of Pesic’s condition, two friendly games of Serbian national team won’t be held. They were supposed to take place on October 18 and 19.
