Player agent Jeff Schwartz, who represents Sacramento Kings forward Marvin Bagley, publically expressed his frustration with the team's behavior towards his client.

"It's clear they have no plans for him in the future, and yet, passed on potential deals at last year's deadline and this summer based on 'value.' Instead, they chose to bring him back but not play him, a move completely contradictory to their 'value' argument. This is a case study in mismanagement."
Schwartz has been attempting to get Bagley traded for over a year. The second pick of the 2018 NBA Draft fractured his wrist prior to last season's trade deadline, which could have impacted Bagley's market value.
ESPN sources say that the Kings are protecting the depth of the team's roster. They are testing a small-ball lineup to start the season and are in no rush to trade Bagley.
Schwartz, who doesn't usually criticize teams publically, is considered the most successful player agent in the NBA. He represents 35 NBA athletes who have signed contracts for over $450 million.
Injuries have plagued Bagley during his first three years in the NBA. He appeared in 43 games last season, averaging 14.1 points and 7.4 rebounds.
Bagley has not signed his rookie contract extension yet.
