The NBA and FIBA are working on creating NBA Europe - the European division of the strongest league in the world, Marca reports.

According to the report, negotiations are already underway. NBA commissioner Adam Silver has already sent a letter to the CEO of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Jordi Bertomeu, expressing his intention to shape this new league with the best teams from Europe.

The discontent shown by several EuroLeague clubs towards Jordi Bertomeu has reportedly accelerated the creation of NBA Europe.

It is possible, but not guaranteed that this new project will begin next season.

The former NBA commissioner David Stern has talked about the idea of creating an NBA conference with European teams back in 2012.
