Celtics' Jaylen Brown (knee) out vs. Rockets / News - Basketnews.com
Boston Celtics standout guard Jaylen Brown is sitting out Sunday night's road game against the Houston Rockets due to a left knee injury.
The team said Brown is dealing with a patella issue, something that has bothered him in the past.
Brown struggled during Friday night's 115-83 home loss to the Toronto Raptors. He had just nine points on 3-of-13 shooting, including misses on all seven 3-point attempts.
Two nights earlier, Brown scored a career-best 46 points during a 138-134 double-overtime road loss against the New York Knicks. He was 8 of 14 from 3-point range in that contest.
The game with Houston is the first of a road back-to-back. The Celtics visit the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night.
Brown, who turned 25 on Sunday, averaged a career-best 24.7 points last season when he made the All-Star team for the first time in his fifth season.
