The news were first broken by Emiliano Carchia of Sportando.

Cook represented five NBA teams since joining the league in 2016. He has been a member of the Dallas Mavericks, New Orleans Pelicans, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The 1.85 m point guard won the 2018 NBA title with the Warriors and the 2020 championship with the Lakers.

He played a total of 188 games in the NBA, averaging 6.4 points (40.8% 3PT), 1.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists.

Cook spent time with the Lakers and Cavaliers last season, averaging 3.3 points over 6.8 minutes in 23 contests.

He signed a non-guaranteed deal with the Portland Trail Blazers in the off-season but was waived before the regular season tipped off.
