Retired JJ Redick joins ESPN as NBA analyst / News - Basketnews.com
JJ Redick is taking his talents to ESPN to talk about basketball after 15 years playing in the NBA.
Redick, 37, hung up his sneakers last month. He'll make his TV debut on Nov. 3 as a studio analyst.
"After 15 years in the NBA, I am excited to take what I have learned on the court and be able to provide my insight and strong opinions about the game I love," Redick said in a statement. "I am thrilled to have found a place on the biggest platform in sports, ESPN. I look forward to starting my post-playing career with such an incredible organization."
Drafted with the 11th overall pick out of Duke in 2006, Redick played for six NBA teams and averaged 12.8 points in 940 regular-season games. He ranks 15th in NBA history with 1,950 career 3-point field goals.
Redick will contribute to studio shows and also appear as an analyst on some games.
