Baskonia had a narrow advantage after the first period (23-21) and went on to make the score 21-30. However, that's when Zenit didn't let Baskonia score for over six minutes, going on a massive 24-0 run to finish the half at 45-30 and essentially end all discussion regarding the winner.

Zenit went on another 16-1 run as their advantage increased to 28 points in the third (65-37). This time they didn't let Baskonia score any points for over seven minutes and took an easy 29-point victory.

Jordan Loyd was impressive for Zenit, finishing with 20 points (4/6 2PT, 3/5 3PT, 3/3 FT), 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 turnovers, and 25 PIR.

"As a team that’s what we’re supposed to do: play together, play good defense, share the ball. We have a great team," Loyd said post-game. "When you put the pieces together we can do something special."

Jayson Granger led Baskonia with 13 points (1/4 2PT, 3/6 3PT, 2/4 FT), 1 rebound, 1 assist, 3 steals, 1 turnover, and 11 PIR.

Rokas Giedraitis didn't play for Baskonia tonight due to injury.

"It was a good game," coach Xavi Pascual commented after the game. "All the topics that we prepared for this game, we executed very well. We controlled the defensive rebounds very well against a team that before this game was the best team in the competition at offensive rebounds."

Zenit: Jordan Loyd 20 (8 REB), Dmitry Kulagin 12, Jordan Mickey 10 (7 REB), Billy Baron 10), Alex Poythress 8 (9 REB, 4 AST), Arturas Gudaitis 8.

Baskonia: Jayson Granger 13, Simone Fontecchio 12, Wade Baldwin 12, Landry Nnoko 9.
