Fight aftermath: Mo Bamba suspended 4 games, Austin Rivers suspended 3
Orlando Magic center Mo Bamba has beensuspended four games without pay and Minnesota Timberwolves guardAustin Rivers has been suspended three games without pay for theirroles in an on-court altercation, it was announced today by NBAexecutive vice president and head of basketball operations JoeDumars.
In addition, Magic guard JalenSuggshas been suspended one game without pay for escalatingthe altercation by aggressively grabbing Rivers around the neck andpulling him to the floor.
Timberwolves forward Jaden McDanielshas been fined $20,000 for his role in the altercation, whichincluded running into the scrum and pushing Bamba in the back.

— SportsCenter (@SportsCenter) February 4, 2023Bamba and Rivers engaged in analtercation in front of the Magic bench, with both players throwingpunches. Suggs and McDaniels then entered the altercation asnon-peacemakers, which resulted in a continued escalation of thesituation.
The incident, for which all fourplayers received technical fouls and were ejected, occurred with1:32 remaining in the third quarter of the Magic’s 127-120 win overthe Timberwolves on Feb. 3 at Target Center.
Following the incident, Bambaattempted to continue to engage with Rivers in a hostile manner inthe corridor outside the locker rooms, where he also aggressivelyshoved a security representative. Both Bamba and Rivers continuedthe escalation on social media following the game.
Bamba will begin serving his four-gamesuspension and Suggs will serve his one-game suspension on Sunday,Feb. 5 when the Magic visit the Charlotte Hornets at SpectrumCenter.
Rivers will begin serving histhree-game suspension on Sunday, Feb. 5 when the Timberwolves hostthe Denver Nuggets at Target Center.
