Short-handed Nets also lose Seth Curry, Markieff Morris to injuries
NEW YORK (AP)— The short-handed Brooklyn Nets lost guard Seth Curry andforward/center Markieff Morris to injuries during their gameagainst the Washington Wizards on Saturday night.
Currysuffered a left adductor injury during the third quarter, andMorris had a sore left knee. The Nets announced neither wouldreturn to the game.
Curry andMorris joined Kevin Durant (right knee MCL sprain), T.J. Warren(left shin contusion), Ben Simmons (left knee soreness) and KyrieIrving (right calf soreness) on the sideline.
Durant hasmissed 12 consecutive games, while Simmons and Warren have eachmissed four straight.
Irving’s injury came one day afterrequesting a trade.He’s upset with contract proposalsthat the team has put forth. Irving is scheduled to be a free agentafter this season.
The injuriesleft Brooklyn with eight available players for the remainder of thegame.
