The Royal Club ended the half strongly, with Alberto Abalde's last-second shot gave them a double-digit lead (43-32). Real maintained a solid advantage for most of the third period, but Bayern kicked it up a notch, going on a 9-1 run to tie the game at 53.

Guerschon Yabusele led Real with 21 points (5/6 2PT, 3/4 3PT, 2/2 FT), 3 rebounds, 1 steal, 2 turnovers, and 23 PIR.
"It was a really tough game, a really tough win," Yabusele said post-game. "We are really happy we got this game. We are just happy that we had teamwork today. We need to get better on offense and defense, find each other better. They played good, they had some tough threes, we had to live with it."
Augustine Rubit was great for Bayern, finishing with 20 points (5/12 2PT, 1/2 3PT, 7/8 FT), 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 turnover, and 21 PIR.
"Congratulations to Real," Bayern coach Trinchieri commented after the game. "We missed. They made. We missed a shot in the paint, they made a shot in the paint. We made a foul. I believe that we played a very good second half. A couple of plays didn't help us, but we had a good fight."
The coach also commented on Othello Hunter's accident: "It was big for us that Othello Hunter did not come back because he was playing very well. He got hit in the head, it was a very tough foul, and he was dizzy so he could not play."
