The team coached by T.J. Parker are now 5-2 in domestic competition, while the hosts improved to 2-5.

The game went down to the last possession. With two seconds remaining, Elie Okobo misfired on the shot that could have tied the game and forced overtime. Prior to that, the former NBA player had made a couple of three-pointers that got ASVEL back to contention.

All in all, the final score doesn't do justice to Paris who led by nine (80-71) two minutes before the end and were the better team. ASVEL attempted a comeback but to no avail.

The real difference-maker for Paris was the total number of turnovers, with the hosts tallying 8 and the French champs committing 15. NBA Draft prospect Victor Wenbanyama turned the ball over six times in only 14 minutes of playing time!

Kyle Allman emerged as the man of the game, scoring 21 points. The American forward was followed by Ismael Kamagete (16), Juhann Begarin (15) and former Fenerbahce Istanbul big man Kyle O'Quinn (12).

Elie Okobo tried to get ASVEL back on track, made some shots but not the one that could have changed his team's destiny. The 24-year-old EuroLeague sensation went for 24 points, while Charles Kahudi added 15 for the losing side.

Paris: Kyle Allman 21 (9/18 FG, 5/8 FT, 8 REB), Ismael Kamagete 16 (7/9 2-POINT SHOTS), Juhann Begarin 15 (6/11 FG, 4/6 FT, 6 REB), Kyle O'Quinn 12 (6/9 2-POINT SHOTS, 6 REB), ASVEL: Elie Okobo 24 (8/14 2-POINT SHOTS, 4/7 3-POINT SHOTS, 4/4 FT), Charles Kahudi 15 (5/7 2-POINT SHOTS, 3/5 3-POINT SHOTS, 2/2 FT, 5 REB), William Howard 10 (5 REB), Chris Jones 7 (4/11 FG, 4 AST).
