Pau Gasol talked to Spanish outlet AS in a virtual meeting during the promotion of "What is important is the journey", the four-episode documentary series that premieres on Amazon Prime Video next Friday.

Referring to life after basketball, the Spanish basketball legend made a special mention to family.

"In the NBA the numbers hit you. More than eighty percent of families break up after the player retires. It's significant. At this stage of transition, I am already involved in certain things.
