Reynolds leads Maccabi to a double OT win against Hapoel Eilat / News - Basketnews.com

Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv (4-2) had a tough Sunday night but came out victorious in the end, beating Hapoel Eilat (2-4) in double overtime 101-95 (19-11, 20-24, 19-25, 18-16, 13-13, 12-6).

Maccabi won the first quarter by eight (19-11) and were in front until the middle of the third period. That's when Eilat went on a 14-4 run to gain a seven-point advantage (57-50).

The hosts clawed their way back to tie the game at 76 with 1:02 to go in regulation after James Nunnaly's and-one. Neither team was able to score for the remainder of the quarter, and the match went into overtime.

Both squads went back and forth in the first overtime, but the winner was not concluded after the extra five minutes, and the match transferred into the second OT.

That's when Maccabi started proving their edge, jumping in front right from the start, and gained a commanding seven-point advantage towards the end (99-92). They ended up surviving with a six-point win.
