According to an official statement by the club, the FFBB was informed about the player's current injury and the chances of re-injury when the guard got called for the national team.

Albicy was recovering from a hamstring injury he suffered on November 13th during an ACB match against Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz.

The 31-year-old didn't manage to play a single minute for the French NT. He aggravated the same injury during training camp, and later it was revealed to be a biceps femoris muscle tear.

Albicy is now out indefinitely, and his return to play will depend on the swiftness of his rehabilitation.

Gran Canaria has informed both FIBA and the FFBB that they will take legal action against both parties for their involvement in the situation. The club will seek to gain financial compensation for the unfortunate event.

Albicy was one of the main guys of the club, averaging 5.8 points, 7.5 assists, 2.5 steals, and 14 PIR in the 7DAYS Eurocup competition.
