Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv (7-7) lost their fourth straight contest in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague by losing to the visiting UNICS Kazan (7-7) 85-74(24-26, 19-17, 23-20, 8-22).

UNICS were incredible on defense in the fourth period, only allowing Maccabi to put up eight points in the entire quarter. Meanwhile, Lorenzo Brown led the visitors on offense, giving them their first double-digit advantage during the last minute of the contest (82-72). They ended up winning by 11.

"First of all, winning in Tel Aviv is always difficult because playing here is not easy," UNCIS coach Perasovic said post-game. "We brought the game in the last quarter. And also, it is true that We had big problems all game long, especially in the first half, with fouls. So I am very happy because I repeat, it is very difficult to win here."

Scottie Wilbekin caught fire in the first quarter, scoring 10 of his team's 24 points in the period. However, a last-second 3-pointer plus the foul by OJ Mayo put UNICS up by two after the quarter concluded (26-24).

Both squads continued trading bucks in the second, with the score being tied for six times. It was only fitting that the scales were balanced going into the second half (43-43).

The third period belonged to Lorenzo Brown, who scored 10 in the quarter, but a team effort by Maccabi and a last-second shot by Wilbekin helped them to a three-point lead after three quarters (66-63).

Lorenzo Brown was dominant for UNICS, finishing with 26 (8/15 2PT, 2/4 3PT, 4/4 FT), 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal, 2 turnovers, and 30 PIR.

"Heart [gave us this win]," Brown admitted after the final buzzer. "We have a great team and a lot of hard work has been made. We are working every single day and I just have to applaud my teammates, these are hard-working guys and I love it."

UNICS: Lorenzo Brown 27 (6 AST, 6 REB), Isaiah Canaan 18, Mario Hezonja 14, OJ Mayo 11, John Brown 6, Tonye Jekiri 6 (9 REB).

Maccabi: Scottie Wilbekin 18 (5 REB), James Nunally 12, Jalen Reynolds 12, Ante Zizic 11, Jordi DiBartolomeo 8.
