Dzanan Musa is just 22 years old, but he has had enough time to make his debut in the Euroleague with 16 in a game against Olympiacos, defended by Spanoulis. He shined in the Eurocup back in 2018, being named Rising Star of the competition.

After being selected as the 29th pick of the NBA Draft, he made his dream come true playing in the NBA with the Brooklyn Nets. And despite having a residual role, he is already a EuroLeague champion with Anadolu Efes Istanbul.

Not a bad path for a Bosnian guy who was born to shine in this sport. When he was 11, he scored 63 points in a game at Sarajevo. Like many other young basketball teenagers, Musa was skinny and talented. His special character allowed him to fulfill his potential in Zagreb.

This summer, in what was probably considered the most surprising signings in the ACB League, Rio Breogan announced Musa for a one-year contract.

The Bosnian arrived in Lugo, a city that breathes basketball in each corner. The place where Pete Mickeal or Charlie Bell, among others, played.

After four months, Musa is in the race for the ACB League MVP. He is leading the Spanish competition in points per game (18.9) and ranks first in PIR, too (20.8). He is performing better than Dubljevic and Mirotic, leading a team that aims to clinch a spot for the Spanish Cup.

Breogan is 6th in the standings, having won 3 of their last 4 games. And Musa was absolutely dominant in those. He scored 26 points against Morabanc Andorra, 33 in Valencia, and 25 on Monday in a tight game against Urbas Fuenlabrada.

In his last two games, Musa finished with 44 and 39 of PIR, respectively, a historical statistic in the ACB League. The last player who made 39 or more PIR in two consecutive rounds was Tanoka Beard back in 1996 (stats via El Rincon del SuperManager).

Musa has been named MVP of December in the ACB League averaging 27.3 points, 7 rebounds and 34 PIR this month.

His performances are not unnoticed in Europe. In the last few days, some rumors revealed Olimpia Milano are following his situation in Spain.

Despite thisinformation, Musa'sagent Misko Raznatovic does not think he will move away.

"There is no need nor hurry to have a better contract. He is playing his best basketball so far, and he can't hide his happiness from his face. Only a miracle will make him change the team this season," revealed Raznatovic at N1.

Musa has found stability with Paco Olmos, Breogan's head coach.

"He is amazing as a coach. He called me before the season. He told me I would have freedom and confidence here. I liked the project and wanted to come. You can talk to him about many other topics apart from basketball," admitted Musa at El Progreso.

Musa lives in the same building as Mahalbasic, he spends time with his girlfriend, he likes Netflix, and he can't resist the Galician octopus.

On the court, he looks like that Bosnian skinny and talented guy who left his mark in different tournaments. He is shining in the ACB League being only 22 years old. His story is yet to be written.
