Real Madrid's center Walter "Edy" Tavares is one of the best players in the Euroleague. His 2.20-meter frame is one of the scariest in the tournament, sometimes enough to beat even the superior teams.

Tavares is one of the most physical players in the Euroleague. As a result, the Cape Verdean center often receives immense amounts of contact under the basket. His opponents do all sorts of things to try and stop the giant from Maio.

After yet another dominant performance in the Spanish ACB league in a win against BAXI Manresa, Tavares took to Twitter to express his thoughts on the opponents and their aggressive actions.

"The dunks in my face are very funny, but worry about other things; if something serious happens to me one day, we'll see who laughs because I am honest with you and I play hard without deceiving you," the Cape Verdean player wrote on the social platform.

The match featured an explosive dunk on Tavares by Ismael Bako. A successful pick-and-roll was finished by a highlight slam over Real Madrid's center.

It can be understood that Tavares was not complaining about Bako's dunk though. The giant from Maio wanted to raise attention to the harsh contact he often receives without referees blowing the whistle. His wife, Paula Grimon, also took to Twitter to defend his husband.

"They almost ripped my husband's neck off, but well in the public they lower their mask to insult him," Grimon wrote.

Real Madrid's match against UNICS Kazan has been postponed. The club now awaits the next week where they'll meet Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade and Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz.

Tavares is one of the best players both in his team and in the tournament. He averages 12.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game for 19.8 PIR in the Euroleague.
