As reported by Marc Stein, the Atlanta Hawks are among the teams interested in trading for Philadelphia 76ers disgruntled star Ben Simmons.

The Hawks are looking for an upgrade on the defensive end and GM Travis Schlenk has already stated that the team will be active at the trade deadline to improve the current roster.

Stein, though, added that the Philadelphia 76ers' preferred scenario remains to convince Simmons to report back to the team so that he could play the second part of the season with his teammates.

Convincing Simmons to return to the team would improve the Sixers in the short term while also maintaining the optionality to trade him in a second time for a player that the Sixers consider as an adequate return.
