The Lithuanian forward injured his ankle in the middle of the fourth quarter after trying to get the rebound. Sabonis stepped on Russell Westbrook's foot and went down in pain. Despite that, he managed to finish the game.
"It is probably going to be significant," head coach Rick Carlisle said on Sabonis' injury after the game.
Sabonis finished the game with 20 points (7/10 2PT, 2/2 3PT), 12 rebounds, and 10 assists. It was his fourth triple-double of the season.
In recent weeks Sabonis has been involved in trade rumors. However, The Athletic denied the reports about the Sacramento Kings' serious interest in the Lithuanian forward.
