Real Madrid (16-3) climbed at the top of the EuroLeague standings after another solid victory on the road. This time, Blancos beat ALBA Berlin (6-13). Gabriel Deck played again with Real Madrid, scoring 2 points in just 9 minutes of action.

After the victory, Pablo Laso expressed his satisfaction, praising ALBA's effort during the whole game.

"I have to give them a lot of credit. They really pushed us. We honestly did not play a great game, but we were consistent offensively and defensively," began the Spanish mastermind.

"They played with a lot of energy. When they show that, it's hard to match up against them, they keep running, and it was a long game for us," he added.

Laso admitted they wanted to control the rhythm of the game.

"We knew it would be hard because they play with a lot of rhythm. We needed to stop that, and for most of the time, we were able to do that. I am happy the players stayed concentrated and focussed on winning," he concluded.

Thomas Heurtel led Real Madrid offensively, finishing the game with 17 points, adding 7 assists in what was one of his best games of the season so far.

"We were solid on defense from the first minute. They play high-quality basketball. Holding them to 74 points means we played great defense," pointed the French guard.

On the other side, ALBA Berlin head coach Israel Gonzalez referred to the energy his team missed at the end.

"We couldn't keep the energy that we had in the last game in Milan. We are tired because we've been 12 or 14 days without practice, and this is what happens when you play so many games in a row,"said Gonzalez.

The Spanish coach tried to explain the current situation of the German powerhouse.

"We are in a bad situation now. I don't know how we will recover physically; we realized we didn't have rhythm or energy. We need to practice and to rest," he finished.
