After suffering a devastating loss against Anadolu Efes Istanbul, Panathinaikos OPAP Athens have made a personnel decision. According to SDNA.gr, the Greek club is parting ways with Kendrick Perry.

Panathinaikos head coach Dimitris Priftis decided that he no longer needs Perry on his team, per report. Stefan Jovic is expected to take Perry's place on the team whenever he is ready.

The Serbian guard has been training with the team during recent weeks, but he hasn't been cleared yet for official matches. According to the report, coach Priftis wants to give Jovic some time to adjust and get to full strength before the Greek Cup Final 4 in February.

Perry started the EuroLeague season with Panathinaikos, averaging 4.8 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists for 2.6 PIR in 19 games played for the club. The guard has had both really bright and forgettable matches, with his PIR ranging from -10 to 18.

Panathinaikos currently sit 17th in the EuroLeague standings with 4 wins and 15 losses in their account. The Greek powerhouse welcomes Zalgiris Kaunas on Wednesday, January 26th in a postponed Round 18 match.
