ALBA Berlin (10-5) were behind on the scoreboard for the most part in their German Basketball Bundesliga home game against MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg (12-6) and although they bounced back near the end, Tremmell Darden hit the mid-range jump shot that forced the hosts to another defeat, by 76-75 (23-22, 15-22, 21-17, 16-15).

ALBA dominated the boards by 41-32 but made 16 turnovers that eventually brought their second loss to Ludwigsburg this season.

The game went down to the wire, although the team coached by John Patrick was up 74-69 with less than two minutes left.

ALBA came back thanks to a 6-0 run. Maodo Lo made it 75-74, but Darden took the assist from Jordan Hulls and gave the win to MHP Riesen with 10 seconds remaining on the game clock.

Louis Olinde had another chance to change the game's fate, but his three-point shot at the buzzer missed the target.

40-year-old Darden led all scorers with 22 points on 8/10 from the field. Jonah Radebaugh and James Woodard were also on double digits for the winning side, while former Olympiacos center Ethan Happ made his debut scoring 9 points and grabbing 6 rebounds.

Jaleen Smith, who played for Ludwigsburg from 2019 to 2021, was ALBA's first scorer with 12 points.

ALBA: Jaleen Smith 12 (3/7 FG, 5/6 FT, 3 REB, 3 AST), Ben Lammers 10 (5/7 FG, 4 REB), Yovel Zoosman 10, Maodo Lo 10 (4 AST, 4 TO), Luke Sikma 9 (9 REB, 4 AST).
