“That's weak. Not enough... I got suspended for a game for stepping on the court. This was intentional through down, that caused a player to need surgery. SMH. COME ON,” Stoudemire wrote on Instagram.
However, Bogut decided to remind Stoudemire about his dirty play from 2010. Bogut was all alone on the fast break but just before the dunk, the Australian was slightly shoved by Stoudemire.
However, it was enough to cause a hard fall which resulted in a broken hand, dislocated elbow, and sprained wrist.
“Might want to sit this one out,” Bogut posted on his Twitter.
Allen's incident also caused a lot of discussions, with many arguing that the punishment was too soft. Caruso broke his wrist and will be sidelined for 6-8 weeks.
"The play Grayson Allen made has no place in basketball," Bulls forward Nikola Vucevic said. "It's a very, very dirty play."
After the game, Bulls coach Billy Donovan said the play was "dangerous" but was typical of Allen's style of play.
"For Alex to be in the air and for (Allen) to take him down like that, he could've ended his career," Donovan said. "He has a history of this. That to me was really -- it was really dangerous. I hope the league takes a hard look at something like that because that could have really, really seriously hurt him."
