He controls everything, tactics, psychology... He has won 9 EuroLeague titles, and all the players follow him blindly. He taught me to do things in an easier way. Sometimes we complicate ourselves too much," said Jasikevicius before the upcoming game against Panathinaikos on Thursday night.
Zeljko and Sarunas began a good relationship during the period in Greece. The student, surely an advanced one, became a coach seven years ago.
"I called him in some important moments of my career. Then I decided for myself, but he guided me through the right way. He has helped me a lot," added the Lithuanian mastermind.
Obradovic praised Jasikevicius' journeyso far at Barcelona in aninterview at RAC1.
"Saras is doing a very good job. Last year he did a great job, winning the ACB, the Spanish Cup, and reaching the EuroLeague final. He is an ambitious person in an ambitious club. You can feel his touch, and you can see that the team is following him."
Jasikevicius coincided with his master about the necessity of decreasing the number of games in the current schedule.
"The conflict between Euroleague and FIBA must come to an end. We are killing the players. There are too many injuries. We sent complaints, but EuroLeague ignores us," concluded Saras.
