Valencia Basket (13-6) saw five of its players score in double-digits, controlled the rhythm of the game for the most part, and got an important 94-93 (31-30, 20-18, 23-23, 20-22) road win over Real Madrid (16-4).

The team coached by Pablo Laso are still unbeatable at home (13-0) in the EuroLeague, but they have already suffered four losses at the Wizink Center for the ACB League. That was their third straight defeat after the ones to Morabanc Andorra last Sunday and to FC Barcelona two weeks ago.

Klemen Prepelic and Jasiel Rivero scored 16 points apiece for the winners, while Sergio Llull and Rudy Fernandez put up 17 and 16 respectively for Madrid.

After a more or less balanced first half (48-51), Valencia made a partial score of 2-13 in almost four minutes to get a significant lead for the first time. Eight points from Sergio Llull helped Real get closer (71-74) and almost evened the game.

However, Valencia were not deterred.

While at 90-94, Edy Tavares missed a rather easy lay-up under the basket, allowing Valencia to buy some more time.

Sergio Llull made a tough trey to cut down the deficit to just one (93-94) with 3.4 seconds remaining. Xavi Lopez-Arrostegui missed both of his two free throws (the second one intentionally) and Valencia celebrated a great win.

Real Madrid: Sergio Llull 17 (6/14 FG), Rudy Fernandez 16 (6/9 FG, 3/4 FT, 4 REB, 3 AST), Guerschon Yabusele 15 (5/12 FG, 2/2 FT, 3 REB), Thomas Heurtel 13 (4/8 FG, 2/2 FT, 4 REB, 4 AST, 3 TO).

Valencia Basket: Jasiel Rivero 16 (7/9 FG, 2/4 FT, 4 REB), Klemen Prepelic 16 (6/11 FG, 2/3 FT, 3 REB), Bojan Dubljevic 11 (4/5 FG, 2/2 FT, 4 REB), Xabi Lopez-Arrostegui 11 (8 REB), Nenad Dimitrijevic 10 (5 AST, 3 TO).
