According to the official statement, the contract, which was supposed to expire this summer, was extended by a further three years until the end of the 2024/2025 season.

"We are very happy and proud that we will be able to present Vladimir Lucic to our fans for the next three years," the club's president Herbert Hainer said after the signing. "He has been proven to be one of the best players in Europe."

Lucic himself was pleased with the extension as well. "I am very happy to be part of the FC Bayern family for three more years," the electric forward said. "We've all put so much hard work into this together and I'm excited to see what the future of the club will bring"

Lucic has been one of the cornerstones of FC Bayern Munich for multiple seasons now. Selected into the All-EuroLeague First Team last year, Lucic has been averaging 12.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists for 15 PIR this year.

Bayern currently sit 10th in the EuroLeague standings with 12 wins and 12 losses. They fly to Turkey this week for an important matchup against Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul on Friday.
