FC Barcelona guard Cory Higgins will undergo surgery to address chronic plantar fasciitis in his left foot, the team announced today.

The surgery is set to take place on February 14. Barca will provide a new statement regarding his potential return to the court after the surgery is completed.

Higgins has been plagued with injuries this season. He has battled a back injury alongside the current foot-related issues.

The 32-year-old appeared in 13 of Barcelona's 24 games at the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague this season. His numbers took a dip compared to last season, standing at 9.2 points (32.3% 3PT), 1.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 8.5 PIR over 23 minutes.

With 19 wins and 5 losses, FC Barcelona are currently second in the EuroLeague. They will face the leaders of the tournament, Real Madrid (20-4) tomorrow in Madrid.
