NBA continue being active as the trade deadline quickly approaches. Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that the Boston Celtics and the San Antonio Spurs are engaging in a trade.

27-year-old Derrick White is headed to Boston in exchange for Josh Richardson and a 2022 1-4 protected first round draft pick.

White is averaging 14.4 points (31.4% 3PT), 5.6 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and 0.9 rebounds for the Spurs this year. He has been playing in San Antonio since getting drafted in 2017.

28-year-old Josh Richardson has been putting up 9.7 points (39.7% 3PT), 2.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 0.8 steals over 44 games and 24 minutes per contest this year.

With 31 wins and 25 losses, the Celtics are currently seventh in the Eastern Conference. The Spurs, on the other hand, are outside of the playoff picture with 20 wins and 35 losses.
