The James Harden-Ben Simmons blockbuster shook the NBA last week. The consequences of the trade are being felt by both teams. It seems like the Brooklyn Nets are definitely on the happier side of the transaction.

After the game, Nets guard Bruce Brown was really satisfied with the current situation on the team.
"It felt amazing," he said. "We were in Miami, we had a little team bonding event and then the vibe just changed. We can all feel it, feel it in the locker room and we know we're going to be here so it was just good for us to be around each other, learn more about each other, and it was just a great win for us today."
"The locker room, it's just a great vibe in there right now," Brown told the media after the match. "I don't know what it is, everything just shifted after the trade deadline. Everybody likes everybody, so it's just great."
The Nets traded away James Harden for a package of Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond, and two future first-round picks. One of the players in the epicenter of the trade, Seth Curry, was delighted with his new teammates.
"I didn't have to see what we did tonight to know the kind of style we'll play. We'll have so many weapons out there -- offensively and defensively," Curry said post-game. "It's going to be a lot of fun to play. It's been a while since I got up and down the floor like that. And played with that kind of pace, even in the half-court."
The other trade partner, Andre Drummond, continued on the same note. "We have a great group of guys," he said. "Guys that are missing right now, we got to wait for them to get healthy, but once everybody gets back I think we'll be very, very good and make a very good push in the playoffs."
A well-deserved win against an improved opponent after a long stretch of losses gave Nets head coach Steve Nash plenty to be happy about. "They deserved a win after this stretch," Nash told the media. "Played some really tough teams, been down bodies ... they've been of the highest character going through a stretch like this and bringing it every day so they deserved it."
What about Ben Simmons? The coach was confident.
"I think he's in a pretty good place mentally," Nash said prior to Monday night's game against the Kings. "And if we work with him here, in conjunction with his physical ramp-up, to make sure he's comfortable on and off the floor, I think he'll be ready to play mentally when he's physically ready."
