Vasilije Micic headlines Serbia's preliminary list for FIBA WC Qualifiers / News - Basketnews.com

Ahead of the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers matchup against Slovakia, the preliminary roster of the Serbia men's national basketball team has been announced.

Serbia's national team will play two games in February as part of the qualifications for the 2023 World Cup. The Serbians will meet the Slovakia national team twice in a row on February 25th and February 28th.

The first challenge for the Serbian national team will be a match at home on February 25th in the Belgrade Aleksandar Nikolic hall. Three days later, the team will play against the national team of Slovakia again, this time in Levice, Slovakia.

The head coach of the Serbian national team, Svetislav Pesic, determined the list of 24 candidates for the national team. The list of candidates has been forwarded to FIBA, and the official press conference after the selection of the Serbian national team in front of the qualification window will be organized on Monday, February 21st.

Serbia started off the Qualifiers with a tough home win against Latvia 101-100 but ended up registering a loss against Belgium's national team in the second match of the tournament, losing 69-73 in Mons, Belgium.
