AS Monaco reached the French Cup (Coupe de France) quarterfinals, after their easy 92-76 (17-17, 34-20, 17-17, 24-22) win over Sarthe Basket Le Mans at the Gaston-Medecin in the principality.

Brock Motum was the first scorer for the winning side with 18 points and 4/6 on three-point shots, however, it was Donta Hall who stole the show. The former NBA player racked up a double-double of 15 points and 16 rebounds in what has probably been his season-best game.

The hosts dominated the rebounds (42 to 22), although they started the game somewhat slow. The first quarter ended on a tie (17-17), with Leo Westermann scoring 5 straight points in that span. The work of TaShawn Thomas in the paint helped Le Mans stay in the game, but not for long.

Donta Hall found some room for a dunk fest and Monaco took a double-digit lead (35-24) midway through the second quarter. Sasa Obradovic's men managed to increase their advantage and, although, Le Mans came within 9 (75-66), the EuroLeague side showed no intention of slowing down.

Le Man's first offensive rebound in the contest came by Valentin Chery after 31 minutes of action, a fact that speaks volumes for the Monegasques' absolute dominance.

Monaco: Brock Motum 18 (7/9 FG, 4/6 3PT SHOTS, 2 REB), Donta Hall 15 (6/8 FG, 3/3 FT, 16 REB, 3 TO), Paris Lee 14 (5/8 FG, 2/2 FT, 4 AST, 4 TO), Dwayne Bacon 12 (5/13 FG, 2/2 FT), Leo Westermann 9 (4 AST).

Le Mans: Scott Bamforth 16 (6/14 FG, 1/1 FT, 5 AST, 3 TO), Terence Tarpey15 (6/9 FG, 5 AST), Kaza Kajami-Keane 13 (5/9 FG, 5 AST).
