Barnes scores 29 points, Kings beat Thunder for 4th straight
OKLAHOMA CITY(AP) — Harrison Barnes scored 29 points and the Sacramento Kingsbeat the Oklahoma City Thunder 123-117 on Tuesday night for theirfourth consecutive victory.
DomantasSabonis had 22 points, 13 rebounds and nine assists and KevinHuerter added 20 points for the Kings. They also beat the Thunderon Sunday night.
Thunderrookie Jalen Williams matched a season high with 27 points. DarioSaric, a reserve forward/center the Thunder acquired in a tradewith Phoenix before the All-Star break, had a season-high 21points. But Oklahoma City shot just 43.9% in its fourth straightloss.
The scoringleaders for both teams did not play. Oklahoma City’s ShaiGilgeous-Alexander was out due to health and safety protocols andan abdominal strain and Sacramento’s De’Aaron Fox missed withsoreness in his left wrist.
There stillwas plenty of action. Sacramento led 71-66 at halftime behind 17points, seven rebounds and seven assists from Sabonis.
The Kingswent on a 13-0 run in the third quarter to go up 89-72, but theThunder rallied and trailed 93-87 heading into the fourth.
Oklahoma Citytied it at 98 before Sacramento responded with a 12-2 run, and theKings controlled the rest of the game.
