Davis' right ankle rolled, sending him immediately to the ground. After a visit from team medical staff, he was helped off the court, unable to put weight on his right foot. He scored 17 points with two rebounds and two assists in 17 minutes before leaving.
He received X-rays after leaving the game, which came back negative, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN. McMenamin reports no timetable is known for a return, and that Davis will receive treatment over the All-Star Break and be evaluated from there.
It has been an injury-plagued season for the eight-time All-Star, who had been listed as probable for Wednesday's game with a wrist injury. Davis had just returned Jan. 23 from a 17-game absence because of a knee injury. He also missed significant time last season with separate calf and knee injuries.
The 28-year-old entered Wednesday's game with an average of 23.3 points and 9.9 rebounds in 36 of the Lakers' first 57 games. In 10 career seasons, Davis has averaged 23.8 points and 10.2 rebounds over 600 games (595 starts).
