Panathinaikos advance to Greek Cup final after beating Promitheas / News - Basketnews.com

In the first semifinal of the Greek Cup Promitheas Patras faced Euroleague side Panathinaikos. After struggling a lot in the first quarter, Panathinaikos reacted and was able to win the game in a comfortable way. The final score was 85-68 (13-27, 25-12, 20-11, 27-18).

Euroleague side Panathinaikos continued in their domination of the game also in the final quarter. The Green finished with a 17-point lead and Promitheas was unable to react.

In the second half, Promitheas lost their offensive flow. They struggled to find easy baskets and they scored only 11 points in the third quarter. Panathinaikos, on the other hand, started to take control over the game and finished the third period up by 8 points (58-50)

But in the second quarter, Panathinaikos came back on the court with a different spirit and led by Nemanja Nedovic and Jeremy Evans started to climb back. The team coached by Dimitris Prifitis finished the first half cutting Promitheas' lead to just one point (39-38)

Panathinaikos started the game in a terrible way. In the first quarter, Promitheas completely dominated the game and finished the first 10 minutes of the game up by 14 points (27-13).
