ALBA Berlin came out victorious in this year's German Cup, taking care of business against Crailsheim Merlins 86-76 (22-15, 24-21, 25-15, 22-18).

The Merlins advanced to the final despite only being in the seventh spot at the German Basketball Bundesliga (12 wins and 7 losses).
