Real Madrid was outplayed by FC Barcelona for the fourth straight time this season, losing the Copa del Rey after a hard-fought contest.

Head coach Pablo Laso was disappointed but had no complaints towards his players: "The team gave everything, I am proud of my players. I want to congratulate Barcelona for the win. We did a very good job. We lacked offensive ideas in key moments, missing some decisive shots."

Gabriel Deck had a chance to tie the game at a decisive time, but his layup was off and Real."That penetration by Gaby (Deck) would have tied the game," Laso mentioned. "We lacked accuracy. I think the team has worked well physically. The team gave everything and I am proud of my players."

"Every game is different regardless of the result. I think we have been very good in some aspects of the game like rebounding. What can I tell my players to shoot and score? They already want that."

Coach Laso admitted that his squad played well on defense but were lackluster on the other end: "Defensively, I think the team was generally very good. We worked well. 59 points is not enough for us, but it was a game that was decided in the last minutes."

"In the last week I have lost one player for almost the whole season, another for two to three weeks and we will see what happens with Hanga. Right now I only have in mind to rest and on Tuesday to think about what is coming, which is a lot."
