The player confirmed the news by talking to the Turkish Basketball Federation before the upcoming game.

"I heard it's always intense, there's always a lot of energy in the building, so I'm excited," Larkin said. "I love playing for the national team, representing this country that's done so much for me."

"To be able to take part in a big rivalry game like this and try to get a win for our country is going to be big; it's going to be fun.

It makes more fun that we get to play one game here in Turkey and one game in Greece, so I'll be able to experience both of those atmospheres, and hopefully, it goes well for us," he added.

Despite an intense schedule, Larkin will also play in a crucial Anadolu Efes (12-12) EuroLeague game against Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv (11-12), according to BasketNews sources. Efes will host Maccabi on Thursday.

Currently, Efes sit in 11th place, while Maccabi are 12th, having only one victory less with an additional game in hand.

This season, Larkin averages 14.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 19.6 PIR in 23 EuroLeague games.

On Friday, Turkey will be visiting Greece, while the rematch in Istanbul will take place on Monday.

Meanwhile, in the Greek camp, Michalis Lountzis already joined the team. Other Olympiacos players such as Kostas Sloukas, Giorgos Printezis, Kostas Papanikolaou, Giannoulis Larentzakis should join on Friday morning.
