The members of Turkey's top-level basketball league (ING Basketball Super League) released a common statement, mentioning a new inter-club organization, like its present counterpart for the top-level football clubs.
The details are yet to be disclosed, but the BSL clubs expressed the agreement upon the establishment of this new organization and informed about their readiness to take the necessary steps to get into action.
It's also not clear yet why the clubs decided to take such a step and how it would benefit them.
"The administrators of our teams competing in the ING Basketball Super League came together for the second time to take the necessary steps on the way to the establishment of the Clubs Union Foundation.
At the meeting held on Monday, February 21, while discussing the necessary steps for establishing the Clubs Union Foundation; they agreed on the future planning and act collectively.
According to the upcoming plan of the Clubs Association Foundation; the required actions for the establishment of the union is going to be taken while moving coordinately and keeping a dialogue with the Turkish Basketball Federation," the statement says.
