Thunder: Kenrich Williams needs surgery on left wrist, out for season

OKLAHOMA CITY, March 2, 2023 – The OklahomaCity Thunder announced today that guard/forward Kenrich Williamssuffered a scapholunate ligament rupture in his left wrist duringTuesday’s game against the Sacramento Kings. The injury willrequire surgery and he is expected to miss the remainder of the2022-23 season.

Williams has appeared in 53 games (10 starts) this season andaveraged 8.0 points on 51.7% shooting from the field, 4.9 reboundsand 2.0 assists in 22.8 minutes per game. His 26 chargesdrawn lead the NBA.

Williams is expected to make a full recovery, and furtherupdates will be provided as appropriate.
